Voice of Hope Community
Church
Children and Young People
- The children at Voice of Hope Community Church range from
pre school to Secondary age.
- Children are not just the church of tomorrow they are the
church of today.
- Every Sunday the young people start in the main service and
then after worship they move into their own specific groups.
- On the first Sunday of each month we have a family service
when we all stay together. We believe that church is for the whole
family and so everyone is encouraged to pray for and help with the
young people whether they have children at the church or not.
REaction
- This summer saw Voice of Hope Community Church joining with
the
other churches and working with 180 young people from both the Primary
and Secondary Schools. The theme of "Christian Faith In Action" gave us
an opportunity to give a multi media presentation as we
looked at
what is going on in the World, Britain and the local scene, as
Christians get involved.
- The young people were also challenged to get involved and
to make a difference in someone's life.
- To help them check on their
progress, over the coming year,
every young person, who attended, will receive a personalised postcard
in March 2007 reminding them, in the words of Mother Theresa,
"I can't change
the whole world ... but I can change the world for one
person."
